Alexander Yuanrui He

Welcome to my website! I am currently in my last year of my undergraduate studies pursuing two Specialist programs in Economics and Mathematics (Joint-program) and Statistics at the University of Toronto. In Fall 2026, I will be starting the MSc Statistics program at UofT under the supervision of Professor Ting-Kam Leonard Wong.

My current research interest lies in Biostatistics and Optimal Transport with applications to Statistical Genetics, which will be the focus of my research project course as part of my graduate studies.

I was fortunate to be a Summer Undergraduate Data Sciences (SUDS) 2025 Scholar at the UofT Data Sciences Institute under the supervision of Professor Elizabeth Dhuey. In Summer 2024 I was a research assistant for Professors Daniel Gregory and Andrei Swidinsky at the UofT Department of Earth Sciences. In Summer 2026, I will be co-supervised by Professor Jane Z Wang (UBC) and Professor Xiaohui Chen (USC) as a post-undergraduate researcher working on Wasserstein Barycenters for medical imaging.
